How to Cite

 

We are working with our repository partners, including the Internet Archive and the University of Chicago OCHRE project, to make all content in Open Context permanently citable. In each window, you can click on the above icon "Cite Item " to obtain a reference to the content you are viewing. You can then copy the citation and paste it into other documents on your computer.

Citation in Open Context follows this format:

Authors. "Project, item's name" (Released date). Database (Open Context). (Access date) <item's url>.

Below is an example of a citation from Open Context. The item's url is stable , meaning that anyone can go to it and find the exact item referred to in the citation.
